This country spends more on health care than any other country in the world and yet we are lagging behind many countries is the health of our citizens. One of the greatest health issue is obesity and the percentage of people who are overweight. The affects of obesity are many including heart disease, diabetes, hormonal imbalance, and orthopedic problems. If we don't learn how to get a handle on this epidemic of fat we will bankrupt our private and public health plans.
So the question is what do we do about the amount of people who overeat or who eat the wrong foods. We could try to tax unhealthy food but I doubt that would have much impact as it doesn't seem to have helped with cigarettes. I work in a plant with a lot of guys in their 20's and it is absolutely amazing how many of them smoke. And the numbers seem to be increasing. You would think that after years of hearing how bad smoking is for them that they would never have thought to pick up a cigarette but that is not the case. Now with taxes a pack of cigarettes is over $5 and they still smoke. These are guys who make $9 an hour so if you figure withholding taxes they are working almost an hour for a pack of cigs. No I don't think taxing will help.
Some how er have to help people choose a healthy diet for weight loss because it will not work to try to force anyone to eat right. That would be like forcing an alcoholic to stop drinking. It does not work and AA found that our over half a century ago. If someone is going to lose weight they will have to do it on their own and can not be forced.
We really have to look at all aspects of our nutritional intakes if we want to get healthy and get our national weight back to levels that do not predispose us to disease. I have been looking at the uses of green tea over the centuries for control of weight and overall nutritional benefit. You should look into its uses as it really does seem to be a wonder food.
Green tea is the silver bullet that will solve all our problems though. You can't expect to get much of a benefit by having a cup of green tea along with a big mac and fries. If we are going to control this obesity epidemic we are going to have to fight on both the diet and exercise fronts. I plan to give great information here to help you.

The Key To Health
The key to a healthy life lies in nutrition. Almost all of the health related problems we are facing today can be traced to poor nutrition and can be helped by better nutrition. We are facing an epidemic of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes in the US and most of this can be linked directly to our diets. In this blog I hope to help men especially to realize how to find nutritious alternatives to increase their life pleasures.
